The ALP post requires a stringent Medical Standard A-1. This includes specific vision requirements (Distant Vision: 6/6, 6/6 without glasses with fogging test; Near Vision: Sn: 0.6, 0.6 without glasses) and passing tests for Colour Vision, Binocular Vision, Field of Vision, Night Vision, and Mesopic Vision. Crucially, candidates who have undergone Lasik surgery or any other corrective eye surgery are not eligible for this post.

Important: Only candidates who appear in CBT-1 will receive a refund of their examination fee (after deducting applicable bank charges) credited to their Aadhaar-seeded bank account. Rejected applications or candidates who do not appear in CBT-1 will not receive any refund.
The selection process for RRB ALP Recruitment 2026 is multi-staged and rigorous, designed to identify the most suitable candidates. It comprises five successive stages:
